Windows 8.1 reached the end of its support on 10 January 2023. Since then it has received no security updates, which makes it a poor choice for a PC that goes online. We therefore do not list Windows 8.1 keys at the moment. This page explains your options; for current products go to all Windows license keys.

It no longer receives security updates, so it is not recommended for any PC connected to the internet.

If the PC meets the Windows 11 requirements, yes — back up first, then install Windows 11 and activate it with a Windows 11 key.
Which Windows should I buy for an old PC?
If the PC cannot run Windows 11, Windows 10 Pro is the practical option. Contact us with your PC's details and we will confirm before you buy.
